Hello South Mountain!
Well, our 2013 event page has been updated, so check to see what's happening. We will try to keep
this site updated, but time is always an issue. If anyone would like to take over maintaining this website, give Paul or Maeda
Krizmencic a call. They can give you the information. This site is VERY easy to navigate and change, so don't be afraid to
give it a try!
We have several events going on in 2013, and we hope all chapter members will attend and participate.
October 20th marks our annual "Kauffman's Chicken Bar-B-Q in Memory of Steph Beck." For those of you
who are new to South Mountain, Steph was our "sister" and friend. She belonged to South Mountain for years, even though she
didn't ride. Barb & Ken Weinrich, long time Chapter members, are her parents. Steph held many positions in our chapter
and you could always count on Steph to step up and volunteer for any event we held. Steph's passing was totally unexpected
and took all of us by surprise, left us all in a state of shock, and created a giagantic void in our lives. South Mountain Chapter
will always remember her! After Steph left this plane, the Chapter decided to help Barb & Ken raise Steph's boys, Kilyan
and Kolten, by holding this benefit every year until they turned 18 years old, so we could add some money to their
trust fund. This will be our last event for the kids because they are big boys now. Tickets for the dinner can be purchased
by calling someone on the flyer, which is on the "Chicken Bar-B-Q" page on this site. So plan to join us for this fundraiser!
Keep checking this website for Chapter news. We're gonna try our hardest
to keep it up to date so you can find out what you need to know, when you need to know it! Until next time:

"LET'S ROLL" Memorial Ride
Every year ABATE of PA sponsors, "LET'S ROLL!" Check back often for the details of the 2011 ride. We must NEVER
FORGET 9/11/01, the day terrorists killed thousands of innocent victims on our own soil because they hate
our Freedom! Plan to attend the 2011 ride in honor and memory of that fateful day's victims. ABATE of PA
members and friends will meet at various locations throughout the State, headed to the Harley Davidson dealership in Somerset,
PA, where the ride will start. As a group, the ride will go to Shanksville, the crash site of Flight 93, where the brave passengers
on that plane, taken over by the terrorists, prevented another attack on our soil. Those brave Americans made the ultimate
sacrifice, giving their lives in honor of our Country, probably saving many, many more lives as the plane was assummed
to be heading for Washington, DC for another attack. These wonderful Patriots deserve all of the honor and respect that America
can give them, so watch for details of 2011's ride!
